War...

War is war, but ideas are asking to come out. This is a photo project about how, having stayed in the same city where you were born and lived all your life, during the war you begin to pay attention even to what is under your feet. During my duty at fortifications in Kyiv, I stood on different surfaces, in places that I would not even visit in peacetime. In order not to give out military secrets about the quantity and quality of our fortifications, I limited myself to photographs of my foot on the surfaces that surround me. The name reflects the search for expression of creativity in the “emptiness” that the war brought. I believe that these tragic moments for Ukraine will soon end in our victory, and the time will come to realize our dreams.

After the first month of the war, we were relocated from Kiev to liberated territories. Here we also guarded the territory, digging the trenches and prepared fortifications, in case, the enemy will attack again from the territory of Belarus. Where we will be next time – I do not know. But I know for sure that with the support of the whole world and the courage of Ukrainians we will win in this war! And under my feet, new and new backgrounds for the photo appear…
